GASTRIC AND COLORECTAL DISEASES CAN BE EMBARRASSING. MILLIONS OF PEOPLE SILENTLY SUFFER FROM DISORDERS SUCH AS HEMORRHOIDS, FECAL INCONTINENCE, FISTULAS, FISSURES, COLON AND RECTAL CANCERS AS WELL AS STOMACH DISEASES AND DISORDERS.
PREVITY IS HERE TO HELP AND TREAT.
Surgeons at Previty are highly experienced in colon and rectal surgery and offers laparoscopic and single incision surgery.
When a cancer is found on colonoscopy, your surgeon works to assemble a rapid response team of highly trained medical and radiation oncologists, along with nutrition and physical therapy specialists to develop a plan of care. Some rectal cancer requires cancer treatment up front before surgery. The goal of this approach is to shrink the rectal cancer to avoid the need for a colostomy bag at surgery.
HEMORRHOIDS
Hemorrhoids are not a frequently discussed topic. Most people simply tolerate the problem and are often frightened by the thought of traditional surgery. It is estimated that 50% of Americans will, at some point in their lives, suffer from hemorrhoids.
TREATMENTS FOR HEMORRHOIDS: THD (Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialization)
Now you can find relief and get back to enjoying life. The THD procedure offers a minimally invasive surgical approach to treating the source of the hemorrhoids. And, because there is no surgical removal of tissue, there is minimal post-operative pain. THD (Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialization) is offered as an out patient procedure which gets you back to normal activities quickly.
FECAL/STOOL INCONTINCENCE
As many as 1 in 13 adults have significant problems with bowel control but are too embarrassed to discuss it—even with their doctor. While fecal incontinence is a common consequence of childbirth and the aging process, many sufferers incorrectly think there are no real solutions.
TREATMENT FOR INCONTINENCE: SECCA Therapy is an innovative treatment option for patients suffering from FI (Fecal Incontinence). SECCA does not utilize implants, incisions or stitches and takes approximately 45 minutes. SECCA is performed in an outpatient setting. SECCA is for patients who have failed to respond to first line therapies, who are not surgical candidates, or do not want to undergo invasive surgery or a foreign body implantation.
ANAL FISSURES
The anus is very sensitive. In fact, is has a similar number of nerve endings as the eyeball. Over time, usually from chronic constipation, fissures or cuts occur in the anus and can be life-limiting.
TREATMENTS FOR FISSURES: PREVITY offers Botox Injection, Lateral Sphincterotomy and Fissurectomy for treatment of this very painful anal disease.
ANAL FISTULAS
Anal fistula is the medical term for an infected tunnel that develops between the skin and the muscular opening at the end of the digestive tract (anus).
FISTULA SURGERY: Fistula surgery usually involves opening up the fistula tunnel. Often this will require cutting a small portion of the anal sphincter, the muscle that helps to control bowel movements. Joining the external and internal openings of the tunnel and converting it to a groove will then allow it to heal from the inside out. Most of the time, fistula surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis. Treatment of a deep or extensive fistula may require a short hospital stay and placement of a cutting seton drain.
